Authors Note

The Reality of war is a stark truth and the art of survival has to hone an edge of instinct upon the souls of youth. This is not natural but it is a fact. War is hell. People look upon veterans as one notch above trash when it comes to morality, but morality has no place in hell. One has to consider the demons of time, We have to deal with each one of them as they consort to take away the innocence of our childhood and the innocence of age. Peace is for others when the putrid memories of the forbidden frontier attack the emotions and, the subconscious blocks out the pain turning the hearts of the victims to stone.

Some have forgotten our warriors. Those who gave so much for our freedom. You can find them in wheelchairs in the Veterans hospitals with no arms or legs, labeled as obsolete and useless by society. Yet these fighters still have the courage to smile and go on. They have the same determination that got them through the war with an uncommon valor only they can understand, and a nation refuses to see.

We look at the grim reality of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, and touch the names carved in granite. We weep for our brothers and sisters lost in time. It is amazing that the cold black Granite stone seems to be the only force that can bring tears to the eyes of battle hardened veterans. Yet it can not bring tears of compassion from a nation that has chosen to set itself apart from Americas heroes, both Dead and alive. If the names could speak from within The wall, America might hear them say, That it was for more than duty that we gave our lives. It was for freedom, country, and family that we gave our all. It was a matter of honor.
