The Wannabe
He fights from his lazy boy Recliner
His weapons' a remote
He's the first to complain
and the first one to gloat.
After all He's a Wannabe
and knows the details of war
He has seen every movie
That makes him a warrior for sure.
He has seen "Platoon"
and watched the "Thin Red Line"
He watched "Full Metal Jacket"
at least three hundred times.
"Hamburger Hill" gave him such a thrill
"The Sands Of Iwo Jima" taught him to kill.
"Private Ryan" turned his stomach
as he watched them take the beach
It left him clammy and sweaty, he could'nt even speak
His only plan of attack was to raid the 'Fridge
For he wouldn't want to miss a second
Of "Heartbreak Ridge".
You can recognize the Wannabe
He has stories galore
about his Heroics
while he single-handedly won the last war
So Mr. Wannabe I give you the Boy Scout Salute
Minus the index and the ring finger
" The full bird " you deserve, without a dispute.
