Original post From caliber At Boondockers Poetic Justice:

I would like to share the following from an Army Officer ; Co. Commander 101st............I feel I have perhaps never realized the burden of Officers in war.

An Officers wish:
"I wish I could say 'I never lost a man'. But I lost far too many. They were all doing the Lord's work and I miss them, as do their families and loved ones. But they did not stain their sacred honor and did not shirk their duty. They were good men, and kind, and had a place in this world, and have a place now, in the Hereafter, I miss them, and I mourn them, and I love them.....and I want them back.

I want them back. I want them for a day, an hour, a lifetime. I want them back for just the moment it takes for them to realize how much they are honored and missed.

I would give the rest of my life to have them back for a single moment of understanding; of loving and sharing with their other Brothers.

I would!....I would do for them what they did for their country so long ago."..........Trav

Boon, it was hard to write this Bro. I know folks here will feel this as I have.

God bless!
