You went to war barely men,
yet you were ready to defend

God, Corps, and country were your cries
as you faced the enemy in stride.

You gave all you had; blood, sweat and tears
as you faced your unseen fears.

The cost ~ your very lives;
The reward ~ empty words and spoken lies
