I Felt it too.
It was different...
everything is different.

Soft rain..now falling................................(cal)
washing dust from memory
of old war
into something new and frightening!
Hard rain!
windswept and bitter!

Pitter-patter, louder and louder................(ragdoll)
Hear the rain fall.
It is the sound of angry people
Rising up to defend
And ready to fight
A different war.

Blinding rain...lightning born...................(Randy)
Distant thunder
Gabriel's horn?
The rain, the blood, the powdered dreams
Creates new brick with strengthened seams

Bitter rain strengthening...........................(Russ)
Washing in a new reality.
Slumbering in comfort days.
Are now just memories.
We now sleep lightly.
Ever watchful.

Powdered rubble, ....................................(BD)
twisted steel
vowing never to forget
American flag draped from skeletal remains
Eyes glaring up at fly by jets

A new band of heroes raising our flag,.....(BD)
as they sift through vanquished dreams,
painful reminder of Americas New War
beware the Eagles scream

Now the shadow of the Hawk...................(BD)
also cast it's presence over freedoms land,
justice deserved and justice shall be served,
delivered by Lady Liberty's hand

September showers,.................................(ee)
bring fear with flowers,
The lightning now fire
of candles and determination,
with thunder awakening
the sleeping souls of giants

Tears of angels and eagles ......................(ee)

may hide the sun 
Our Colors gripped in talons,

though dampened don't run.

Despite the pain, the eagle flies................(TP)
through bitter rain from tears and skies;
while all the nations of God's earth
join arms and hearts for freedom's worth
